After sitting shuttered for over a year, the historic Wycombe Inn has now been revived by its new owners and will soon welcome guests as The Wycombe Tavern & Grille, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
The Diaz-Albertini Family, owners of Casa Toro Mexican restaurants including one in Doylestown, purchased the iconic building earlier this year and plan to reopen it by the end of May.
The reimagined establishment will feature a refreshed look and a menu highlighting American Italian tavern fare crafted by Chefs Pete Jones and Kurt Saracini.
General manager Emma Jones described the new tavern as a spot where history meets modern dining.
“We’re going to be a from scratch kitchen,” she said. “The chefs will be smoking ribs, wings, and chicken thighs. I tried a couple and they are delicious.”
The menu will offer something for everyone, including burgers, handhelds, homemade fish and chips, and a variety of seafood and steak entrees such as Salmon Florentine. Additional options will include a fish of the day special, a variety of pasta dishes, and a full selection of pizzas.
