Philadelphia Hotel Rises 116 Spots in Annual Ranking, Two Others Drop Considerably

The Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia moved up 116 spots on the annual Best Hotel list, from No. 190 last year to No. 74 this year. It's spot places it as the second best hotel in Pennsylvania.

U.S. News & World Report has released its latest annual ranking of the top 100 hotels in the nation, and while the region had a weaker performance than year’s past, one Philadelphia hotel moved up considerably, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia moved up 116 spots from No. 190 last year to No. 74 this year. It’s spot places it as the second best hotel in Pennsylvania, with Nemacolin in Farmington ranking the best in the state, at No. 28 in the nation overall.

This is the first time in at least six years that a Philadelphia hotel didn’t claim the top hotel spot in Pennsylvania.

While the Four Seasons saw its ranking rise considerably, the Rittenhouse Hotel dropped numerous spots, from No. 67 in 2025 to No. 125 this year.

The Four Seasons and the Rittenhouse were the only two Philadelphia hotels to make the top 10 within the state. This is while two others that made it last year — the Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square and the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia — dropped out.

U.S. News & World Report compiles its Best Hotels rankings based on prior awards and recognition, guest ratings, and star ratings.
