A stone-clad seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom estate in Berwyn, set on 12 acres and topped with a burnt red roof, has recently hit the market for $6.25 million, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Built as a speculative home in 2007, the 11,600-square-foot house offers a range of outdoor living spaces, including a pool and outdoor kitchen. Inside, it features eight fireplaces, a custom home theater, and a spacious wine cellar, as well as ample parking provided by the four-car garage.
The home includes many elegant details, such as beamed ceilings in the living room, French doors in the dining room opening to a courtyard, and a marble island paired with a brick fireplace in the gourmet kitchen.
“The detail, the setting, it just feels like it’s been there for 100 years, but it’s a newer home,” said listing agent Robin Gordon of the Robin Gordon Group and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach.
A conservation easement with the Willistown Conservation Trust covers part of the sprawling property, preserving its open meadows and preventing subdivision or development.
The property is located at 1075 S. Leopard Road.
