Temporary Pop-Up Storefronts Coming to Market East Ahead of Summer Tourism Season

Six temporary pop-up storefronts will operate along the 900 block of Market Street in Center City from May 6 to July 31, 2026.

This summer, passersby at Market East will likely notice a greater sense of vibrancy in the area as six pop-up businesses will be filling vacant storefront along the 900 block of the struggling corridor, writes 6abc.

First up is Two Persons Coffee. Originally based in the Bok Building, it will be located at 920 Market Street.

Next is Almost Famous, which will be located at 922 Market Street. The Black-owned and female-centered business is known for its vintage pieces, upcycled clothing, and live artistic inventions. Its Market East space will host music events, panel discussions, and on-site work for artists.

At 924 Market Street will be Rarify. The gallery is dedicated to material culture and collectible design. There will be an exhibition celebrating the area’s design legacy over the past 250 years.

Clubfriends Radio & Records will be located at 926 Market Street. The business serves to tell stories about Philadelphia through public programming. Founded by Alexa Colas, the goal is to foster connections through design, music, and shared cultural experiences.

Then there’s Art Philly, which will stand at 932-934 Market Street. This is a creative exchange for artists, community members, and storytellers.

Last but not least is West Philadelphia staple Siddiq’s Water Ice, which will be at 938 Market Street.
