Six Bucks County public high schools were recently listed among the top 100 in Pennsylvania in a new ranking from U.S. News & World Report.
Schools were ranked on six key factors, including college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rate.
The first Bucks County school on the list, ranked fourth, is New Hope-Solebury. The school has a 95 percent graduation rate and a college readiness score of 58.5.
Central Bucks East was the next school on the list, placed at No. 14. The school has a 98 percent graduation rate and scored 49.7 on college readiness.
Placed at No. 22, Council Rock North boasts a 97 percent graduation rate. The school received a score of 53.1 for college readiness.
Central Bucks West was ranked at No. 43, receiving a college readiness score of 46.6. The school currently has a graduation rate of 95 percent.
The next school on the list, placed at No. 61, is Central Bucks South. With a graduation rate of 98 percent, the school was given a score of 38.2 for college readiness.
The final Bucks school in the top 100 is Council Rock South, ranked No. 75 in the state. The school received a score of 36.8 for college readiness and has a graduation rate of 97 percent.
