A study by Niche found that four Philadelphia high schools are among the best for student athletes across Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania has produced a number of legendary professional athletes across various sports.

A new study ranking the top 25 Pennsylvania high schools for athletes features four right in Philadelphia, writes Joe Spears for USA Today High School Sports.

The five schools are St. Joseph’s Preparatory School (No. 3), Neumann Goretti High School (No. 6), Father Judge High School (No. 13), and Roman Catholic High School (No. 25).

The rankings were compiled by Niche through data collected from surveys with both students and families. Factors considered in the rankings include total number of students enrolled, total sports championships won, and the number of interscholastic sports offered at the school, among others. Each metric was ranked using a scale of 1-5, but on a weighed scale.

Roman Catholic High offers a total of 17 sports for its athletes, while Father Judge boasts 14. Neumann Goretti features 15 sports, while St. Joe’s Prep tops the list among Philly high schools at 20.
