Here Are Some Things to Know About Eagles’ Chief Security Officer Dom DiSandro

Dom DiSandro has been a part of the Eagles organization for nearly a quarter-century.

Dom DiSandro made headlines during last weekend’s Philadelphia Eagles vs. San Francisco 49ers game, but he’s more than just a guy who got into a scuffle with linebacker Dre Greenlaw and later ejected, writes Matt Ehalt for the New York Post.

DiSandro, 44, is a South Philadelphia native and George Washington High School graduate. He then went on to earn a scholarship to Penn State.

The head security officer for the Eagles has been with the organization since 1999.

He joined the organization the same year former Eagles coach Andy Reid joined the team. Reid refers to DiSandro as “the man” and “like a son.”

In addition to his security gig, DiSandro also serves as a senior advisor to Eagles general manager, Howie Roseman

He is quite popular within the organization.

“There may not be an employee whom owner Jeffrey Lurie entrusts with his franchise’s delicate matters more than the boxcar-built chief security officer,” The Philadelphia Inquirer previously reported.

DiSandro is also quite a charitable individual, as he is involved in the Eagles Autism Foundation

A “Big Dom Hoodie” can be purchased on the foundation’s website for $60, with all proceeds going to the foundation.
