Love City Brewing, which opened its first location in Callowhill in 2018, will soon be opening a second Philadelphia location in Manayunk this fall, writes Kristin Hunt for PhillyVoice.
The building it will be expanding to will be in replacement of the circus-themed taproom, Fat Lady Brewing, which closed on Jan. 6, 2026 after about four years in business.
“We have been looking for the right opportunity to expand for a long time,” said Melissa Walter, co-owner of Love City alongside her husband Kevin, in a statement. “We were very conscious about choosing a neighborhood that has great energy and foot traffic, as well as one that would allow our current location at 1023 Hamilton St. to continue to be successful – Manayunk checks all those boxes for us.”
The second location will be divided into a ground floor taproom featuring a full bar and merchandise station, and an upstairs loft for events.
According to a press release, the bar and taproom will be open seven days a week, while the event space will have more selective days and hours.
Love City plans to also continue some of the events its predecessor previously hosted in Manayunk.
The drinks menu will be the same one offered at its original location, while food options will be announced at a later time.
