Artillery Brewing Company, the award-winning craft brewery with locations in West Chester and Drexel Hill, has opened its newest and largest taproom in Pottstown, writes Maren Kaymak-Loveless for the Main Line Tonight.

Blending local heritage and reclaimed materials with comfort food favorites, the 100-seat venue offers a unique experience.

Artillery Brewing, known for its premium beer and Revolutionary War-themed branding, opened The Citadel Taproom at the historic corner of High and Charlotte Streets in downtown Pottstown. The taproom operates Wednesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to midnight.

Located in the former Strand Theater building, the new taproom adds fresh energy to a site steeped in local history.

“Pottstown is primed for an economic resurgence, and Artillery wants to be part of that growth,” said Riley Connell, Artillery’s general manager. “This town has a lot of history and character – and a great community of people. Artillery wants to be a catalyst in Pottstown’s revitalization.”

At The Citadel Taproom, guests can enjoy Artillery’s top-rated beers on tap alongside a variety of craft spirits produced in Pennsylvania.

“At each of our locations, we offer great beer and great food with a neighborhood bar feel that is welcoming to everyone, especially sports fans and families,” said Connell.
