Newly Rebranded Pottstown Regional Community Foundation Expands Its Mission

The newly rebranded Pottstown Regional Community Foundation expands its mission to education, economy, and regional community needs.

The Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation, a champion of healthy living in the region, has officially rebranded as the Pottstown Regional Community Foundation, reports Courtney Diener Stokes for The Mercury.

The change was announced on July 4. It reflects the organization’s broader mission to serve the full spectrum of community needs.

The transformation follows the Foundation’s 2023 shift from a private to a public community foundation. The name change signifies more than a cosmetic update. It opens the door for greater public participation and donor-driven initiatives in health, education, economic equity, and beyond.

“This is more than a name change,” said Foundation President David W. Kraybill. “It’s a reflection of the evolution we’ve already been living.”

Since its founding in 2003, the Foundation has awarded more than $57 million in grants across Montgomery, Chester, and Berks counties. Programs like Play Streets and the Healthy Bodies Healthy Minds Institute remain at the core, while initiatives signal a more holistic vision for regional well-being.

With its new community foundation model, the Pottstown Regional Community Foundation offers donors the ability to fund everything from environmental efforts to arts programs.
