Construction has started on a new 121-room Radnor hotel at 165 King of Prussia Road, writes Paul Schwedelson for Philadelphia Business Journal.
The $59.5 million hotel, developed by Brandywine Realty Trust, is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2026.
Brandywine Realty Trust is anticipating a 10 percent return on its investment. CEO Jerry Sweeney called it “an outstanding real estate opportunity.”
The hotel is Brandywine Realty Trust’s next phase of a lab and office mixed-use campus in Radnor.
“Radnor is one of our top-performing submarkets in one of the most desirable areas in the region,” Sweeney said. “Our tenant base there has some leading corporations that have responded incredibly well to previous retail offerings and have been asking for more hospitality options.”
The 80,000-square-foot hotel will be part of Brandywine’s 2.1 million square-foot complex that includes headquarters for Lincoln Financial Group and Avantor.
Brandywine has completed an office building adjacent to the hotel, which is fully leased to Arkema, a specialty materials supplier.
The site also sits next to Penn Medicine’s Radnor campus and the SEPTA regional rail Radnor station.
