Saquon Barkley and fiancée Anna Congdon, who bought a mansion in Malvern with their two children, are celebrating the player’s historic new contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, writes Natasha Dye for People.
The team announced earlier this week that they have agreed to a two-year, $41.2 million extension of Barkley’s contract. The deal makes Barkley the first running back in the history of the NFL to be paid over $20 million a year.
Congdon reposted an NFL graphic announcing the contract on her Instagram story and made another post in which she shared a photo that Barkley had posted of himself and his agent, Edward Berry, who helped him secure the deal. She also made the comment under her fiancée’s post, writing, “Let Jesus cook!”
Following the Eagles’ announcement, Saquon Barkley took to Instagram and posted a series of Super Bowl win photos.
“Overflow! Grateful for the Eagles Organization, grateful for my team, grateful for the amazing fans in Philly. Fly Eagles Fly,” he captioned the post.
Barkley and Congdon confirmed their engagement a week before his first-ever Super Bowl appearance.
