Philadelphia home baker Victoria Walters is one of the contestants on the new season of the popular cooking competition, “The Great American Baking Show” on the Roku Channel, writes Jason Sheehan for Philadelphia Magazine.
Walters is a Temple University graduate. She was born and raised in Harrisburg, but after she finished her education, she decided to remain in Philadelphia. Her mother is Italian and her father is from Panama, and both of them influence her baking. The versatile baker is also an amateur photographer, a knitter, a terrarium maker, and a member of a local cappella group.
Walters made all the baking goods for her wedding, which included ten cakes, one of which was a four-tier wedding cake. She describes her style as “traditional American classic bakes.”
The Philadelphia contestant will be up against seven other amateur bakers from all around the country. She aims to outlast them all and make her way to the finals of the six-episode series.
The second season of the show will premiere on Friday, May 24.
