Chester County Creameries Taking Part in Ice Cream Trail This Summer

Bring your appetite to “Scooped: An Ice Cream Trail,” which is back this summer to provide visitors with delicious homemade ice cream and maybe learn something new along the way, writes Sue Gleiter for Penn Live Patriot-News.

Since 2018, the ice cream trail has become an integral part of Pennsylvania tourism and agriculture. The 2024 season incorporates 41 participating creameries across the state, including ones in Chester County.

Not only do visitors get to cool down with a treat, they also get to meet the people who run the creameries and make said ice cream.

“No summer getaway is complete without a scoop of ice cream from a Pennsylvania creamery,” said Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding. “Knowing you’re supporting one of Pennsylvania’s more than 4,000 dairy farms just sweetens the adventure.”

Register on the ice cream trail website to track which creameries you visit. Those who hit up 5 creameries get 500 points and a stainless steel ice cream scoop, and those who hit 1,000 points will win a Scooped An Ice Cream Trail t-shirt.

Here are the list of 3 Chester County creameries participating:
