Crafting Collaboration: Neshaminy Creek Brewing’s Partnership with Rita’s Water Ice Continues to Blossom

By

The partnership between Neshaminy Creek Brewing in Croydon and Bensalem-based Rita’s Water Ice continues to blossom several years after it started and has since produced a variety of collaborative Rita’s beers, writes Jeff Tomik for the Philly Voice.

Neshaminy Creek first reached out to its Bucks County neighbor to see if there was interest in teaming up. Once Rita’s was on board, the brewery started transforming its signature fruity flavors into beer.

“It’s 100 percent a team effort,” said Rob Jahn, Neshaminy Creek’s owner and lead brewer.

“Especially with new flavors, obviously Rita’s wants to have their input, but they are very easy and great to work with. They let us do our thing and give their opinions when they come in and taste it.”

So far, the partnership has resulted in five beers, including Mango Blonde Ale, Peach Ring Tart Ale, Cherry Lemonade Tart Ale, Watermelon Sour, and Lemon Ale. The first three are available in a variety pack, while Watermelon Sour has been released as a standalone beer. Lemon Ale was available to buy last year but has since been discontinued.
