West Chester Seafood Kitchen is continuing to impress residents with its chic, coastal dining experience, writes Ed Williams for Main Line Today.
Now in its second year in the heart of West Chester, the restaurant features an expansive menu that ranges well beyond its namesake cuisine. The kitchen attracts a consistent customer base for its pastas, salads, cocktails, and desserts, while still staying true to delicious, upscale seafood.
West Chester Seafood Kitchen opened on Gay Street in February 2025. Located within Hotel Indigo, executive chef Mike McNutt leads the menu, and bar manager Ryan Myers is the creative mixologist behind the restaurant’s cocktail menu.
Menu favorites include spicy salmon, Mussel Fra diavolo, and lobster bucatini. Available appetizers include oysters, clams, fish sliders, and sticky Thai wings.
Acclaimed seafood mains include Chesapeake crab cakes, jumbo fried shrimp, and the Maine lobster roll. Other featured entrées include steak au poivre and roasted chicken breast, among other nightly specials.
The restaurant also features a diverse cocktail menu, complete with over 30 wines, draft beer, cocktails, and even mocktails. Favorite cocktails include the bourbon-based Silver Rush, and the Indigo Club, which comes topped with a custom foam print.
As for the experience itself, it features top-tier service with an elevated yet casual ambiance that makes for the perfect night out in the borough.
