Live Blues, Craft Beer, and Community Spirit Take Center Stage at Chester County Blues BBQ on June 6

The Chester County Blues Barbecue brings together music lovers, families, and local residents for a day that blends great entertainment with a meaningful cause.

Blues guitar riffs, smoky barbecue, cold craft beer, and summer energy will fill the air in northern Chester County on Saturday, June 6, as the 14th Annual Chester County Blues Barbecue returns to Wyndsor Farm in Elverson for an afternoon built around live music, food, and community connection.

Hosted by the Coventry Lions Club, the event has become one of the region’s signature warm-weather gatherings, bringing together music lovers, families, and local residents for a day that blends great entertainment with a meaningful cause. Proceeds from the event support the organization’s charitable efforts throughout the community.

The festival will take place, rain or shine, at Wyndsor Farm, located at 2550 Ridge Road in Elverson, with gates opening at noon. Attendees can expect an energetic lineup featuring several of the area’s top blues bands performing throughout the day, including:

  • Clarence Spady, the acclaimed guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter once described by the Chicago Tribune as “the future of the blues.” Known for blending traditional blues with jazz, funk, and soul influences, Spady has built a reputation for performances that are both technically impressive and emotionally powerful.
  • Roger Girke, a three-time International Blues Challenge finalist whose soulful vocals and guitar work have made him a favorite on the regional blues circuit.
  • The Dave Mell Blues Band, known for its male and female vocals, original songs, and creative interpretations of blues, R&B, and classic rock favorites.
  • Voodoo Deville, a Chester County favorite since 1998 with a sound that stretches from Chicago blues to jump, swing, boogie, early rock ’n roll, and rockabilly.

Guests will also be able to enjoy food from Stampede Barbecue, drinks from Sly Fox Brewing Company, and the relaxed atmosphere that has helped the festival continue to grow year after year. Visitors are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and canopies to make a full afternoon out of the experience. A large tent will also be available onsite.

Tickets are limited and are $20 online at Chester County Blues Barbecue. If there are any remaining tickets, they will be $30 cash at the gate.

Whether you’re a lifelong blues fan or simply looking for a memorable way to spend a summer Saturday, the event offers the kind of local experience that brings people together through music, food, and community spirit.
