Four Chester County towns have found their spot among the top 200 places to live in the United States, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Niche recently released its latest annual rankings, based on data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the FBI, the Department of Education, the IRS, and other sources. To determine the rankings, the company focused on metrics such as affordability, local housing markets, neighborhood diversity, public schools, and walkability, among others.
Devon is highest, coming in eighth nationwide after surging from No. 185 last year into the top ten. It also listed as the second-best place to raise a family in the nation and is the second-highest in the region, behind Ardmore at No. 7.
Chesterbrook ranked No. 12 after spending two years in third place nationwide and holding the top spot from 2020 to 2023. It placed fourth in the Philadelphia region.
Rounding out the list are Paoli, at No. 50 nationally and sixth in the region, and Berwyn, ranked No. 200 nationwide and ninth in the region.
