GMercyU's Sport Business Symposium will feature networking, learning, and insight into the sports industry.

April is unofficial Conference Month at Gwynedd Mercy University, with multiple conferences and networking opportunities open to the community.

Join GMercyU to meet industry leaders and explore topics that span autism, education, the sports industry, and more. Most are free; some offer Act 48 credits for educators.

19th Annual Autism Institute Conference
Saturday, April 11 from 8:30 AM-3 PM 
Cost: Free 
Format: In-person  

Attendees of the signature offering of GMercyU’s Autism Institute can choose from more than 25 workshops led by highly respected professionals in the field of autism. Workshops will highlight research-based best practices for supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and are designed for a diverse audience, including practicing professionals, pre-service educators and related service providers, and family members. 

Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided, and a Kids Club will be available for families. This conference also offers ACT 48 credits for educators. Register here.

6th Annual Conference on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Education
Monday, April 13 and Tuesday, April 14 from 6-8 PM 
Cost: Free 
Format: Virtual 

This year’s theme is “Supporting the Success of All Learners” and offers ACT 48 credits for educators. The event brings together thought leaders, practitioners, and advocates to discuss how the success of all learners can be supported in both K-12 and higher education settings. The conference aims to inspire action, foster understanding, and build a network of practitioners and advocates dedicated to supporting the success of all learners. Register here.

Career Fair and 4th Annual Sport Symposium: Behind the Game
Thursday, April 16 from 6:15-8:30 PM 
Cost: Free for students, $5 for community members 
Format: In-person

Presented by GMercyU and All Systems Audio & Video, this symposium offers an evening of networking, learning, and insight into the sports industry. The event will begin with a Sports Industry Career Fair, with opportunities to connect with organizations and professionals from across the sports business field.

The event continues with a conversation featuring Spike Eskin, Host of the 94WIP Afternoon Show, and Olivia Reiner, Eagles beat writer at The Philadelphia Inquirer, as they share their experiences and perspectives from the world of sports media. Register here.

12th Annual University Research Conference
Thursday, April 23 from 5-9 PM 
Cost: Free 
Format: In-person and virtual
