The Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia is turning Comcast CEO Brian Roberts’ former condominium at the Comcast Technology Center into eight luxury suites, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
These changes will bring the total rooms at the acclaimed Center City hotel to 227.
The hotel’s new Sky Garden floor is expected to debut on the 45th level of the tower in December. Roberts bought the three residential condominium units with his wife, Aileen, for a total of $14.4 million in 2016. They then transformed the three units into a spacious single apartment that spans the entire floor. Roberts sold the space to Comcast for $13.5 million in April 2021.
The Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia opened in the Comcast Technology Center in 2019, and it currently takes up floors 48 through 56.
Once completed, the Sky Garden floor will feature four standard guest rooms measuring 434 square feet each, two one-bedroom suites at 848 square feet, a two-bedroom Sky Terrace Suite, and the two-bedroom Sky Terrace Penthouse.
Meanwhile the 1,497-square-foot two-bedroom suite and the 3,976-square-foot penthouse will be used as extended-stay, residential-style accommodations.
