Singer-songwriter and Bucks County native Langhorne Slim recently performed on an episode of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.
His latest studio album, “The Dreaming Kind,” was released on Jan. 16.
Langhorne Slim shared his inspiration for the album on the show before he performed one of his new songs, “Rock N Roll.”
“To me, where I once thought dreaming was kind of silly, I think it is the most beautiful thing to be, is a dreamer,” said Langhorne Slim to guest host and “Daily Show” correspondent Jordan Klepper.
“I think we are inundated and conditioned and taught to use more logic than creativity. And I think that it, in some ways, makes our souls a bit sick. The dreamin’ kind is like love over gold, curiosity over certainty, connection over separation,” he said.
According to NPR, the musical artist, born Sean Scolnick, took his name from his hometown, Langhorne.
The 45-year-old artist has spent the past two decades exploring different genres of music, including acoustic and folk, and most recently finding inspiration in rock & roll.
