Drexel Hill’s Kevin Stefanski Is Atlanta Falcons’ New Head Coach

Kevin Stefanski, a Drexel Hill native, and former coach for the Cleveland Browns, is the new head coach for the Atlanta Falcons.

Kevin Stefanski, a Drexel Hill native, has signed a five-year deal to take over as the Atlanta Falcons’ new head coach, writes Caio Miari for The Score.

Stefanski will report to Matt Ryan, the team’s new president of football.

“We’re thrilled to land a lead-by-example leader in Kevin Stefanski, who brings a clear vision for his staff, our team, and a closely aligned focus on building this team on fundamentals, toughness, and active collaboration with every area of the football operation,” said Ryan.

Stefanski spent the past six seasons with the Cleveland Browns and first gained attention while working with the Minnesota Vikings. He became a two-time Coach of the Year while leading the Browns.

His head coaching record is 45-56, and under his leadership, the Browns recorded two 11-win seasons and ended a 17-year playoff drought. The Tennessee Titans were among the teams that showed interest in Stefanski and were expected to invite him for a second interview.

“Kevin’s style of leadership, combined with the staff and infrastructure in place here in Atlanta, gives us confidence in our shared vision for the team,” said Ryan.
