Rally House Eyes Former Rite Aid Location in Rittenhouse Square for Third Philadelphia Location

Sports apparel shop Rally House has filed an application with the Philadelphia Art Commission seeking approval to bring its third Philly location to a former Rite Aid location on Chestnut St.

Rally House, the sports apparel shop, is seeking to open a third Philadelphia location and it’s currently eyeing the site of a former Rite Aid location in Rittenhouse Square, writes Michael Tanenbaum for PhillyVoice.

The company has filed an application with the Philadelphia Art Commission to seek approval to add signage to the space. Rally House is looking to put six Rally House signs on the building’s facade, which was added to the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places in 2024.

Rally House needs the Art Commission’s approval because of the site’s zoning.

If the application is approved, this would be Rally House’s first Center City location.

There are more than a dozen Rally House locations throughout the Philadelphia region, along with South Jersey. The two existing Philadelphia ones are located in North and West Philadelphia, near Temple and Drexel University’s respective campuses.

If there is approval for the third Philadelphia location in Rittenhouse, Rally House would join several other sports apparel shops in the area. This includes Mitchell & Ness, which will be moving to a larger space on Walnut Street in 2026, the Jordan Brand World of Flight store that opened in October, and Shibe Vintage Sports on South 13th Street.
