Wheel of Fortune, the beloved decades-old game show, will be coming to Philadelphia in search of contestants for the first time since 2015, writes Molly McVety for PhillyVoice.
On Thursday, September 18 and Friday, September 19, producers of the show will be at the Event Center in Rivers Casino lookin for contestants from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. However, participants will be allowed to start lining up for tryouts as early as 10 a.m.
“The ‘Wheel of Fortune’ fan base in and around Philadelphia is incredible, and we’re excited to tap into that passion to find future contestants,” Executive Producer Bellamie Blackstone said in a statement. “We hope the fans bring some of that famous Philly spirit to the event so we can welcome those loyal ‘Wheel’ watchers in our studio to spin the wheel!”
Applicants have to be at least 21 years old to take part in the free auditions. During that audition process, attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes while also meeting with producers for a chance to make it onto a live broadcast of the show.
Producers will reach out to a select group of contestants at a later date.
