The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board has opened its summer 2025 limited-release lottery, with the $7,500 Weller Millennium Straight Bourbon among the offerings, writes Sam Ruland for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The lottery offers eligible Pennsylvania residents and licensees a chance to purchase some of the nation’s rarest and most sought-after bourbons and whiskeys. Registration opened Monday and will remain open until 5 p.m. on Friday, August 8. On August 11, PLCB will conduct the lottery drawings, and both winners and unsuccessful participants will be notified in the following weeks.
This round includes nine separate lotteries, with each household limited to one bottle per lottery. Entrants may participate in as many drawing categories as they wish through the Fine Wine & Good Spirits lottery page. The prize is not a free bottle but the opportunity to purchase one.
Along with 45 bottles for individuals and 15 for licensees of the aforementioned $7,500 Weller Millennium Straight Bourbon, highlights this time include Eagle Rare Double Eagle Very Rare Straight Bourbon with eight bottles for individuals and two for licensees at $2,999.99 and Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition Straight Bourbon with four bottles for individuals and one for licensees at $2,199.99.
