Philadelphia Ranks Second in the State in Alcohol Consumption, But What Are They Drinking?

In the 19120 ZIP code of North Philadelphia, liquor is the most popular drink of choice with 200,591 units sold. This is followed by wine at 91,823, and cocktails at 12,929 units sold, respectively. E & J was the most sold brand at 25,976 units. The ZIP code also spent more on Rhum Barbancourt than the rest of the state on average.

Center City’s 19102 ZIP code is more of a wine region, with 169,667 units sold. This is followed by liquor, not far behind at 135,290. Tito’s is the most popular brand, with 12,786 units sold. The red-to-white wine ratio is nearly even with 59,528 units of red wine sold, compared to 59,514 white wine units sold.

The Chestnut Hill ZIP code of 19118 is also a wine town, with 129,067 units sold. Tito’s is also a popular brand with 4,784 units sold. However, it isn’t too far ahead of Federal Distilling at 4,097 units sold. White wine, particularly Cave de Lugny, is the brand sold the most.
