Phoenixville’s Kevin Negandhi Busier Than Ever After 19 Years at ESPN

Kevin Negandhi, a Phoenixville native, is now closing in on his 19th year at ESPN and has never been busier in his career.

Kevin Negandhi, a Phoenixville native and Temple University graduate, is now almost in his 19th year at ESPN, and has never been busier in his career, writes Rob Tornoe for The Philadelphia Inquirer

The diehard Philly sports fan has experienced a whirlwind few months, starting with the NFL draft at Lambeau Field in Green Bay in April and ending with MLB’s Home Run Derby last month.

During that period, he also covered the NBA draft lottery and the NBA draft for the first time, reported from the Rubik’s Cube World Championships in Seattle, and continued to host the 6 PM edition of SportsCenter

The only event he skipped was the WNBA All-Star game in July.

“I had to basically say, ‘Guys, I need a break,’” said Negandhi.

His next event brought him closer to home. He hosted SportsCenter for the Little League World Series in Williamsport, where he saw Chester County’s Glenmoore Eagle team, which was unfortunately eliminated from the series.

“I think for any young boy or girl, it’s kind of a slice of heaven,” he said. “It’s a cool last thing to do before the end of summer.”
