Philadelphia’s Black Forward, a Black-owned and operated pop-up and online shop, specializes in goods that are designed to both uplift and empower, reports FOX29 Philadelphia

Company founder and CEO Erica Keith previously worked at Hallmark for nearly two decades, gaining a strong foundation in creating products that evoke emotion and pride.

Now, she has been running a July pop-up for her store on 6376 Germantown Avenue.

“I’d describe [the pop-up] as a place where people can come to be inspired, for positivity,” said Keith. “I love the fact that all the products display my culture, Black people, in a beautiful way. A lot of the products here are colorful, they’re bright, they’re fun.”

The company collaborates with Black artists to create products that reflect a strong aesthetic and a message of pride.

The store offers everything from tees and hoodies to accessories and journals, as well as striking jewelry, some of it made from wood. The t-shirts start at $30 and display positive messages, such as “Black Love”.
