Victus Sports in King of Prussia recently unveiled limited-edition Phillie Phanatic bats, each priced at $799.99, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The company has produced only 25 handcrafted “Phuzzy” Phanatic Trophy Bats featuring the mascot’s face, which will be available for purchase at the New Era Phillies Team Store at Citizens Bank Park from Wednesday.
Victus artist Bruce ”Bat King” Tatem made and signed all 25 bats.
“Being asked to create a unique highly detailed Phillie Phanatic bat was truly an honor,” said Tatem. “Working closely with the team from the Phillies, it was easy to get a feel for their passion and love for the Phanatic. This bat has become one of my most cherished designs.”
Each person is limited to purchasing one bat. A limited number of phone orders will be accepted.
Founded in 2012 by Jared Smith and Ryan Engroff, Victus Sports was acquired by Marucci Sports five years later. In 2020, Marucci Sports was bought by Compass Diversified Holdings for $200 million. For the past 13 seasons, the company has served as an official Major League Baseball bat supplier.
