2 Philadelphia Companies Make Fortune 500 List for 2025

Two Philadelphia companies are on the 2025 Fortune 500 list, with Comcast topping the list.

The 2025 Fortune 500 list is out and nine Philadelphia-area companies are on the list, including two headquartered in Philadelphia, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Up first is media and technology giant Comcast, which ranks at No. 35 on the list with $123.7 billion in revenue.

It’s ranking is down two spots from last year, despite increasing its revenue by 1.8 percent.

The second Philadelphia company is food service and facilities services provider Aramark.

The company ranked No. 239 with $17.4 billion in revenue, a decrease of 19 spots and 7.7 percent from last year.

Rite Aid, which made the list last year at No. 171, fell out of the Fortune 500 this year. The drugstore and retail pharmacy chain just recently filed for bankruptcy for the second time and plans to close all its stores in the coming months.

The number of Philadelphia-area companies to crack the Fortune 500 list has continued to decline in recent years, from nine this year to 11 last year and 13 in the previous three years.
