With warm summer weather finally arriving, it is officially the season for festive outdoor events, writes Gina Lizzo for Main Line Today.
Here are five summertime events happening in Chester County this June.
Summer Biergarten—Malvern. Historic Sugartown’s summer Biergarten is a pop-up evening event featuring live music, food trucks, and craft beer from local breweries, including Malvern’s Locust Lane Brewery and ChaddsFord Winery. The event is set for June 12, with a second pop-up on Aug. 21.
Kennett Summerfest—Kennett Square. Set for June 8 in downtown Kennett, Summerfest will feature food and drinks from local vendors. The ticketed event also includes workshops on floral arranging, wine and cheese pairings, and mocktail mixing.
Turks Head Music Festival—West Chester. A longtime West Chester favorite, Turks Head Music Festival will feature local food, vendors, crafts, and music performances in Everhart Park. Set for June 8 from 12 PM to 7 PM, the event will host 7 local bands and art from 70 vendors.
BalletX at Longwood Gardens—Kennett Square. Philadelphia-based ballet company BalletX will perform on June 5 at Longwood’s Open Air theater. The show will feature three works that express themes of exploration and transformation for a thematic narrative performance.
Wayne Music Festival—Wayne. Fifteen national artists will perform at the annual Wayne Music Festival on June 7. The event is free to the public, and headlining performers include The Ocean Blue, Black Joe Lewis, and Wild Pink.
