Philadelphia has many great beer gardens that serve as not only a have a drink, but are friendly to the point that kids can enjoy themselves, as well, writes Laura Swartz for Philadelphia Magazine.
At Morgan’s Pier, guests can enjoy views of the Delaware River and Ben Franklin Bridge. With specialty cocktails and numerous outdoor bars along with a kids’ menu, sippy cups, and a changing table, people of all ages can have fun up to 9 PM.
PHS pioneered the concept of a seasonal pop-up beer garden in 2014. Since then, they’ve developed two locations on South Street and in Manayunk, respectively. While both offers food, craft beersm and cocktails, the latter location features a game room with Skee-Ball, pop-a-shot, foosball, and more.
Independence Beer Garden features a long beer list and food, along with outdoor games like shuffleboard, cornhole, Jenga, ping-pong, and more.
Sunset Social is not only kid friendly, but dog friendly, as well. Its lawn and table games make it a fun spot for two-legged or four-legged family members. The same can be said about Attic Brewing Company in Germantown.
In Kensington, Sor Ynéz is a great spot to lie back, relax, and enjoy yourself.
On Sunday afternoons, Bok Bar is the place to be.
