From Live Music to Local Eats: Glenside Offers Perfect Mix for Residents

Glenside is not just a place to visit for a show; it offers a perfect blend of dining and entertainment options for those who live there.

Glenside is not just a place to visit for a show; it offers a perfect blend of great dining and entertainment options for those who live there, writes Sandy Smith for the Philadelphia Magazine.

“It’s a perfect 10!” said Carle Robbins, Addison Wolfe Real Estate’s director of sales. “As in, only 10 miles to Philly with fast, easy access. But you’re living in Montco.”

Glensiders get frequent service to Center City because two SEPTA Regional Rail lines stop there due to its position at the end of the Main Line.

However, it is rarely necessary to go into the city, as Glenside has almost everything you might need. You can head to Flow’s design studio to outfit your kitchen and bathroom, grab a unique gift at Sweet Magnolia, pick up your next favorite game at Classic Game Junkie, visit Keswick Cycle to browse for bikes, and eat at the Ways Restaurant and Brewery.

Glenside’s other downtown, Keswick Village, offers many eateries offering everything from pub fare at Rooster’s to dumplings and noodles at Humpty’s Dumplings.

Here you will also find the Keswick Theatre, one of the premier performing-arts venues in the region.
