Meet Diona Murray: The Infertility Warrior Giving Hope to Families Experiencing Infertility

As the founder of Barren Fruit, Diona Murray is on a mission to break the shame, isolation, and quiet suffering when it comes to infertility.

In a world where silence often surrounds the pain of infertility, Diona Murray is using her voice, and her victory, to inspire hope, healing, and community for individuals and families. As the founder of Barren Fruit and the self-described Infertility Warrior, Diona is on a mission to break the shame, isolation, and quiet suffering that too many women and families endure when it comes to infertility.

Her journey didn’t begin with a platform. It began with pain. Surgical procedures. Years of infertility treatments. Diona’s doctor told her that she had less than a 1% chance of ever conceiving. Diona walked a road familiar to millions, but what makes her story stand out is what came after she let go of the pain.

After stepping away from ongoing treatments, she began pouring her energy into educating and supporting other women through Barren Fruit, Diona began planting seeds of hope for others. On her birthday, she had a follow-up appointment with a reproductive endocrinologist, one who listened to Diona and provided the help she needed, she heard the words she thought she never would: she was pregnant. After countless surgeries and treatments. An unexpected miracle happened.

Today, Diona is the proud mother of her daughter Aariana, her “Miracle Baby,” and she shares her story not for applause, but to provide light in the darkest moments of someone else’s infertility journey.

This April, in honor of National Infertility Awareness Week (April 20–26, 2025), Diona will host a series of virtual and in-person wellness, fitness, and self-care events to foster open dialogue, provide resources, and empower individuals and couples facing infertility. She is also hosting an intimate Self Care: Evening Mini Retreat and fundraiser on April 24th at 6 pm in Bala Cynwyd.

Her message is simple, yet powerful: Infertility does not define you. Hope still lives here.

Diona is available throughout the month of April and June for interviews, podcast appearances, news features, and guest columns. She brings raw honesty, deep empathy, and a voice that resonates with women and families who may feel invisible in their pain.
