USA Today Names Philadelphia Restaurant and Bar One of the Best in the Nation

Poison Heart has been chosen by USA TODAY as one of the best restaurants and bars of 2025.

USA TODAY has released its second annual “Restaurants of the Year” and “Bars of the Year” lists and a Philadelphia bar and restaurant is among those on the list, according to an article published by USA TODAY NETWORK.

The restaurant and bar to make the list is Poison Heart on Spring Garden.

While it’s not as flashy as some other eateries, its intimate setting and nightlife feel are nice features.

When you arrive, you’ll likely notice the playlist of songs curated by owner Andrea Ulsh, with help from an audiophile. Upon owning the eatery, she was heavily influenced by 1990s New York nightlife, therefore the soundtrack mirrors that.

Beyond the atmosphere, Poison Heart’s resident chefs are known for making some great dishes.

Among the most popular dishes include the oysters, waffle fries, pasta, burgers, caviar donuts, cake, and much more.

Ulsh describes the menu of foods as “food to socialize over.”
