Wawa Fans Continue to Hope for the Return of a Beloved Snack

A YouTube reviewer checks out a Wawa toasted ravioli for the first time. Wawa removed its toasted ravioli two years ago.

Wawa fans up and down the East Coast continue to grieve for the loss of the gas station’s toasted ravioli, which was removed from display cases two years ago, writes Kurt Suchman for Yahoo Lifestyle

These crispy, deep-fried (not toasted) morsels were filled with a rich blend of five kinds of cheese that could be deliciously dipped into the chain’s meatball sauce.

They were once part of the warming trays at the Delaware County-based convenience store checkout, sharing space with soft pretzels, chicken bites, and hot breakfast sandwiches, all ready to be purchased and consumed.

These days, the fan-favorite toasted raviolis have been replaced by cheddar-filled jalapeno bites.

Wawa, always ready to try something new, will occasionally have products swapped out for new additions.

Now many toasted ravioli mourners have taken to social media to beg for the return of the snack.

“Bring them back! They were the best of all those little snacks,” posted one individual on Reddit

Though the future of the savory snack is still yet to be determined, fans will have to settle for the wide range of other delicious options that are available.
