Just days after winning the Super Bowl, Saquon Barkley delighted hundreds of Eagles fans while working a drive-thru shift at Raising Cane’s in Feasterville-Trevose as part of a promotional appearance, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Barkley, who had a record-breaking first season in Philadelphia, has become one of the NFL’s most marketable players. Though sponsorship offers are pouring in, he is carefully choosing the ones that fit best.
“It’s important to align yourself with people that have the same mindset, more so now as I’m getting back into my community and making an impact on my community,” said Barkley.
“I’m all about relationships, and I’m all about aligning myself with great people,” he added, pointing to Raising Cane’s CEO Todd Graves.
The 2024 NFL Offensive Player of the Year also stressed his focus on the field. He said his top priority since arriving in Philadelphia has been football and settling his family into their new home. He plans to do more off-the-field affairs during the offseason.
After filming videos about Raising Cane’s chicken fingers, Barkley boosted the crowd outside the Bucks County restaurant with the iconic ‘E-A-G-L-E-S’ chant.
