The Philly Chef Conference will be coming back to Drexel University for its 10th year in October, writes Jason Sheehan for Philadelphia Magazine.
Since it was launched a decade ago, the conference has served as a way for students at Drexel’s Food and Hospitality Management program to convene with professionals within all levels of the industry.
This year’s edition will be aimed squarely at students with a heavy Philadelphia focus.
While the agenda is still coming together, the professional development is one that will be emphasized.
The conference will feature alumni panel discussions featuring chefs and cooks from High Street, the Comcast Center, the Four Seasons, My Loup, and the James Beard Foundation.
It will also feature workshops covering pan pizza innovation, ethical sourcing, food entrepreneurship, and kitchen gear, as well as panel discussions on media training, mutual aid, food security, legal issues in food service, and much more.
This year’s Philly Chef Conference will take place October 13-14, 2024 at Drexel University.
