Mac Mart is the perfect place for mac and cheese lovers who are feeling adventurous looking to try this classic dish with an added delicious twist, reports Bob Kelly for FOX 29.
The popular eatery offers mac and cheese topped with a variety of options, from buffalo chicken to pesto, tomatoes, and so much more.
Mac Mart also offers a truly creative spin on the popular dish with its mac and cheese grilled cheese, as well as mac and cheese spring rolls and mac and cheese cheesesteak.
Mac Mart debuted as a food truck on the streets of the Drexel University campus. The idea originated from a college graduation party that only had a lot of healthy food to offer.
“Me and my sister were like not having that,” said owner Marti Lieberman. “So our mom told us to go to the market, make something, make ‘whatever you want.’ Mac and cheese is what came to mind. And then when I needed a job after college, it was kind of like, ‘people like my mac and cheese, I know how to drive a truck, let’s put them together.’”
Every item at Mac Mart revolves around its seven-cheese sauce.
