2024 Delaware River Festival Returns to Philadelphia and Camden

The 2024 Delaware River Festival will take place Saturday, September 28, from 10 AM to 4 PM at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia and Wiggins Park in Camden.

The dog days of summer are fading away, so it’s time to fall into FREE Family Fun with the 2024 Delaware River Festival

The 2024 Delaware River Festival will take place Saturday, September 28, from 10 AM to 4 PM. Join the Philadelphia Water Department at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia and Wiggins Park in Camden for the special event.

The day will be chock-full of hands-on experiences. Some furry and feathered friends will stop by on both sides of the river for exciting and educational entertainment. Want to experience the water? Paddle along in a swan boat. Feeling thirsty from all the fun? Stop by the famous Philly Water Bar, where the Philadelphia Water Department will have crisp, cold water for you to sip or fill your water bottle.

Get playful by joining some of our games and activities where you can earn prizes, or be crafty by stopping by the crafts tables where you can make or draw a treasure to take home. Show your silly side by having your face painted, or soak up fascinating eco-facts and hands-on activities from our environmental exhibitors. Plus, Bassetts Ice Cream will have delicious and refreshing treats for sale.

Can’t choose which side of the river to visit? You don’t have to! Rides on the RiverLink Ferry will be free of charge that day and will carry you across the beautiful Delaware River between Penn’s Landing and Wiggins Park

Want to duck indoors for a while? Head inside the Independence Seaport Museum to experience the River Alive! exhibit and explore first-hand how the Delaware River connects us all. The museum’s other exhibits let you learn about life along the river hundreds of years ago and the river’s history with (arr!) pirates. General admission to the museum will be free during the festival, but fees still apply to board the museum’s two ships, the Olympia and the Becuna

Due to ongoing construction on the Delaware Riverfront at Penn’s Landing, the Philadelphia Water Department highly encourages attendees to carpool or utilize public transit for the Philadelphia side of the Festival. Limited parking is available at the Lombard Circle and Market Street Lots along the waterfront, as well as at the Hilton Hotel Parking Garage. Visitors can also park on the Camden side of the festival and take the RiverLink Ferry to see the Philadelphia activities.
