David’s Bridal will move its corporate headquarters from 1001 Washington St. to 630 Allendale Road in King of Prussia on August 1, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The new 59,000-square-foot facility will enable the wedding dress retailer to consolidate operations and relocate its Atlanta-based photo studio, creating new jobs.
The move allows Philadelphia-based Hightop Development to redevelop the current site into 49 townhomes.
Purchased for $3.05 million, the 3.7-acre property will benefit from its proximity to the Schuylkill River, trails, and Spring Mill Station on SEPTA’s Manayunk/Norristown Regional Rail Line.
CEO David Landskroner emphasized the location’s appeal due to its access to quality schools and recreational spaces, meeting the region’s demand for new housing.
David’s Bridal, which has been headquartered in Conshohocken since 2000, announced the relocation as part of its restructuring efforts following a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in April 2023.
