Kohl’s Corp. is set to enhance its store in Bensalem, with the introduction of a Babies “R” Us shop, leading a major rollout of the baby brand in 200 stores across the country, writes Linda Spice for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Kohl’s Corps’ strategic partnership with WHP Global, owner of the Babies “R” Us brand, is aimed at attracting a younger demographic of shoppers.
The initiative, announced by Kohl’s in March, marks a significant push to expand the retailer’s baby product offerings.
The first of these new shops are expected to open in August. Tom Kingsbury, CEO of Kohl’s, emphasized the opportunity in the baby gear category.
The new Babies “R” Us section in the Bensalem store at 2325 Street Road will range in size from 750 to 2,500 square feet and is designed to complement Kohl’s existing baby apparel and products.
In addition to the Bensalem location, other nearby Kohl’s stores will also feature new Babies “R” Us shops, including stores in Havertown and Springfield in Delaware County.
