Esteemed Interior Designer Opening a New Gift Shop in Rittenhouse Square

Jimmy DeLaurentis, a Philadelphia-based interior designer, is planning to open a showroom with a retail space and studio in Rittenhouse Square, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

He is scheduled to debut James by Jimmy DeLaurentis, his private label collection, at 114 S. 19th Street in early October.

The collection will include customizable furniture and accessories, such as tables, sofas, chairs, beds, and more.

For his new showroom, DeLaurentis hopes to make his collection more accessible to prospective and current clients in Philadelphia.

DeLaurentis believes Rittenhouse is the perfect location for him do so.

“I knew if I was going to do a store it had to be right in the middle of Rittenhouse,” DeLaurentis said.

DeLaurentis has more than 25 years of experience in the design field, having previously worked at Ralph Lauren’s creative team before launching his own collection in 2016.

He’s no stranger to working in Philadelphia, as he recently helped design a penthouse in Carl Dranoff’s Arthaus condominium tower on South Broad Street.

The tentative hours for his showroom will be Wednesday through Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM, with appointment-only Tuesdays as a potential option.
