The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State or PSU) founded in 1855 as Farmers’ High School of Pennsylvania, is a public state-related land-grant research university with campuses and facilities throughout Pennsylvania, United States.
As Pennsylvania’s land-grant university, it offers over 275 degree programs and hosts more than 1,000 student organizations. Its main campus, University Park, is home to the iconic Nittany Lion mascot and Beaver Stadium, one of the largest college football venues.
