How a Northeast Philadelphia Print Shop Has Modernized Business Over Past Two Decades

Minuteman Press was founded in Northeast Philadelphia two decades ago, and as the digital age has grown, the business has evolved with it.

Minuteman Press in Northeast Philadelphia has grown considerably since its start as a print shop two decades ago, and much of its evolution can be credited to Mejire Arijaje, writes Sarah Huffman for Technical.ly.

While he grew up helping his father, Jude, with the print shop earlier on, it wasn’t until a decade ago that Arijaje made the decision to leave his corporate job to join the family business.

Arijaje took on the sales and marketing side of the business to help the company grow, and is now modernizing it to help it keep up with the digital age.

“Being able to see how much we have built in the time that we’re here,” he said. “We can continue the legacy and continue to build some more into something long-lasting.”

Minuteman Press is known for making marketing materials, such as flyers, brochures, and business cards, as well as other merchandise like pens and apparel.

Since returning to the family business, Arijaje has seen a shift the industry.

Namely, there’s less of a need for printed materials now than two decades ago, as digital marketing has taken center stage.

This has led to the company expanding its offerings to include custom apparel and signage.

Moving forward, Arijaje wants to expand its e-commerce footprint and its nationwide clients.
