Delaware River Greenway Partnership Board Welcomes Newly Elected Member

The New Jersey-based environmental nonprofit Delaware River Greenway Partnership recently appointed Brian Koons to its Board of Trustees.

The Delaware River Greenway Partnership (DRGP) recently announced the election of Brian Koons to its Board of Trustees.

The DRGP is an environmental nonprofit that sponsors lectures discussing a variety of topics related to the Delaware River’s recreational, cultural, and natural heritage.

Organizations like the Lower Delaware Wild & Scenic River, the Delaware River Heritage Trail, the Delaware River Scenic Byway, and the Delaware River Water Trail are all supported by the DRGP.

Koons possesses a deep curiosity for the natural world, with a passion for the outdoors that has followed him through life. He values learning new things and sharing knowledge with others.

His interest in outdoor recreation and local history prompted him to create his own guided kayak and bike tour business, Delaware River Pedal & Paddle.

On his tours, participants learn about history, ecology, and local stories while enjoying scenic views.

Koons is dedicated to preserving the resources of the river and protecting the environment surrounding it.

“Brian is a local business owner who is already deeply involved in the Delaware River community. He brings passion and enthusiasm to DRGP, and we’re thrilled to have him join our Board as a Trustee to help advance our mission in the Lower Delaware River,” said Board President JR Fisher
