A number of events will be taking place throughout Philadelphia and Aramark will play a significant role in the festivities, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
While the Philadelphia-based food services company typically operates behind the scenes, it will likely be much more visible.
Aramark is the food services operator for Lincoln Financial Field, the same venue that will host six matches for the FIFA World Cup in June and July. The company also runs the food and beverage operations for Citizens Bank Park, which is where the 2026 MLB All-Star Game will be played in July.
“We, as a local Philadelphia company with a lot of proud heritage and roots and a lot of resources, are looking forward to being kind of front and center to help Philadelphia deliver on that. Help the city shine, help our people have an incredible experience along the way and leave the globe with a real positive impression of this city,” Aramark COO Marc Bruno said.
The World Cup is expected to bring more than 450,000 visitors to the Philadelphia region, while MLB All-Star Games typically draw around 100,000 people, according to Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau data.
Aramark is planning to increase its staff at both venues in preparation for these events.
