An IKEA Store Is Coming to the Promenade at Granite Run in Media

IKEA is opening a new store in Media at Promenade at Granite Run.

A new IKEA Media store is moving into the Promenade at Granite Run, 1111 W. Baltimore Pike, writes Max Bennett for Patch.

IKEA Media will arrive in spring 2026 with a new format that will make it more accessible to customers.

. “No more trekking through that notorious I-476 ‘Blue Route’ traffic—now you can enjoy IKEA and our inspiring home design with less hassle,” said George Holtkamp, Market Manager, IKEA U.S.

The Media store, located in about 3,755 square feet of leased retail space, will bring IKEA’s signature styles closer to the community, Holtkamp said.

Unlike a traditional large-format IKEA store, customers will be able to meet with an IKEA team to plan and order home furnishing solutions.

Though products can’t be taken home the same day, IKEA co-workers can arrange for delivery or schedule orders to be picked up from an on-site location.

Online shoppers will have the option to pick up qualifying orders by selecting IKEA Media as their preferred pick-up location at checkout.

The new IKEA Media Plan and order point with Pick-up is part of a growth strategy for IKEA.

The goal is to increase brand accessibility and adapt to how customers like to shop.
