City Cruises Philadelphia is launching family adventures with the debut of its City Cruises Junior Captains Program, specially designed for younger voyagers, writes Allan Lane for the dosage Magazine.
The initiative offers engaging onboard activities and interactive entertainment along with a curated kids’ menu.
The multi-sensory maritime experience takes place aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia, docked at Penn’s Landing at 401 S. Christopher Columbus Boulevard. It promotes exploration, creativity, and active play, providing kids with an immersive journey that can delight both them and their parents.
Each child’s ticket includes a kid-approved menu that is both nutritious and delicious, featuring a choice of garden salad or fresh fruit cup, main entrees such as chicken tenders and classic buttered noodles, along with a drink. As a bonus, children can enjoy unlimited dessert options.
Engaging activities range from under-the-sea-themed coloring pages, onboard craft kits, and tabletop games indoors, to larger-than-life games on the deck such as Jumbo Connect 4 and cornhole. A floating dance floor allows little ones to groove in DJ-led dance-offs.
First-time junior voyagers get given a Junior Captain Certificate from the ship’s captain or crew.
