Wanamaker Building Conversion to Include Several Attractive Features and Amenities

The Wanamaker Building is being redeveloped and converted, and new details are out regarding what it will look like.

Just over a month after officially completing its acquisition of the Wanamaker Building, TF Cornerstone has provided more details on what its conversion will look like, writes Noah Zucker for BisNow.

The city recently issued a permit for the project.

The permit unveils plans for the development. This includes two rooftop decks and a swimming pool for residents who will be moving into the 621 planned multifamily units.

The amenities will be occupied in the northern section of the Wanamaker Building’s roof, overlooking Market Street.

In addition, TF Cornerstone will also build 13 mezzanines below the new decks. However, it hasn’t been revealed what the mezzanines will be used for.

The design plans were drawn up by JKRP Architects, which is one of the few tenants remaining at the office space portion of the Wanamaker.

TF Cornerstone is partnering with Alterra Property Group on the Wanamaker Building’s redevelopment.

New office space and retail stores are also planned.

“As the building enters its next chapter under our helm, we feel privileged to be given the opportunity to reimagine this iconic building in a way that respects its historic integrity and adds to the vibrancy of the Center City community,” TF Cornerstone Vice President Jake Elghanayan said in a statement in June.
